UPDELED (BTC) Admissions 2025: Online Application Begins for 2-Year Teacher Training Programme
The Uttar Pradesh Examination Regulatory Authority has opened the online application window for the
UPDELED (BTC) Admissions 2025-27, a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education programme
required for primary teacher eligibility in the state. The application process began on
24 November 2025 and will continue until 15 December 2025.
The programme, conducted through updeled.gov.in, offers approximately 2.33 lakh seats
across Uttar Pradesh — including 10,600 seats in Government DIETs and over
2.23 lakh seats in private colleges. Admission is entirely merit-based, and
no entrance examination will be held.
Eligibility and age requirements
Applicants must hold a Graduation degree with at least 50% marks
(45% for SC/ST candidates). The minimum age is 18 years, while the upper age limit
will follow official UPDELED guidelines with applicable relaxation for reserved categories.

Course details
UPDELED (earlier known as BTC) is a two-year professional training programme
aimed at preparing candidates for teaching roles in primary schools. Successful completion
qualifies candidates for UP Assistant Teacher Recruitment as well as
UP-TET.
Selection process
The admission process is merit-based and involves multiple rounds of
online counselling, seat allotment, document verification,
and fee submission. Training for the session is scheduled to begin on
17 February 2026.
